The Rockridge Community Planning Council, or RCPC as most folks call it, held its April meeting recently at the Rockridge Branch Library on College Ave. On the agenda was a most well-deserved commendation made to longtime editor of the RCPC News, Don Kinkead. Kinkead's involvement with the monthly newsletter dates back to its first edition which came out 29 years ago in April 1986....

Either way, it's kismet that this "Kiwi" in search of a place to create an artists' haven wound up buying a house in Vallejo that turned out to have been built by the family of a now-famous artist....

The University of California at Berkeley said Friday that it has dismissed an assistant football coach who was arrested in Oakland last week for allegedly soliciting an undercover officer during a prostitution sting.
