District Prevails in People vs RDUSD regarding Bond Performance Audits August 14, 2008
Solano County District Attorney David Paulson recently prepared and served a Petition for Writ of Mandate on the River Delta Unified School District. The Petition sought to force the District’s Board of Trustees to perform additional auditing of its school bond construction program.
On Thursday morning, August 14, 2008, Solano County Superior Court Judge Harry S. Kinnicutt refused to grant the District Attorney's proposed petition which could have held up school construction projects funded by State and local bond revenue until additional audits were done by the School Board.

WELCOME RICHARD HENNES --RIVER DELTA'S NEW SUPERINTENDENT
On Wednesday night (8-13-08), at a special meeting of the Board of Trustees, held at Rio Vista High School's new Performing Arts Theater, the District's new superintendent was voted into office to begin his duties on Thursday August 14. Richard Hennes was warmly welcomed by the Board, administrators and a small crowd during an informal reception held right after the meeting. He stated he plans on visitng all the schools right away and he will begin getting involved not only in the schools but all the communities as well.
