Middle Grades Community Day Accountability and API
Standardized Testing
In accordance
with the California Public Schools Accountability Act, the California Department
of Education has implemented standardized tests to ensure compliance
with curriculum guidelines and measure academic progress in California public
schools.
California Progress Reporting (APR) takes into
account a school's state Academic Performance Index (API) in addition to
federal measures of Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) and Program
Involvement (PI). Together, these reports help ensure compliance with
state and federal guidelines.
