Linking to Files displayed on your web pages


There are 2 ways to easily add links to uploaded files to your pages.

Option 1.
  • Put your cursor on the page where you want the file to appear
  • Open the Screen_Shot_2014_03_25_at_10.36.35_AM.pngFile Manager from the tool bar and click once on the file name to select it

  • Click OK in the lower right corner of the File Manager window. Screen_Shot_2014_03_25_at_10.37.06_AM.png
  • Your file appears as below. (link sample 1)
  • The program automatically size, date and times stamps your file. *You can select and delete this information if desired. (link sample 2)
  • You can select the text in the file name and change the visible name of the file in the window if desired (link sample 2)

Option 2.
  • Type some text in the editable area that you want to link to the file, eg...Click Here to Download the 2014 District Budget report.
  • Select the specific text you want to link to the file, eg, Click Here
  • Go to the Screen_Shot_2014_03_25_at_10.36.35_AM.png File Manager and click once on the file name to select it

  • Click OK in the lower right corner of the File Manager window. Screen_Shot_2014_03_25_at_10.37.06_AM.png
  • The text is automatically linked to the file. *no date, time stamp or file icon is added using this method.
Option 2 Sample

*Advanced Tip
If you would like to view the actual file path, click your cursor once inside the link text (not highlight, just click). The relative path to the link will be displayed in the lower portion of the editor toolbar.
