Frequently Asked Questions About WebSchoolPro

How long does it take to create and launch a school's website?
You can create and launch your school's website in 5 minutes or less once you have your activation key. Activation keys are sent out within 24 hours of your request, usually the same day. Activating your new website takes only a few minutes once you have the key.

We have a school website, how can we transition to WebSchoolPro?

It is easy to transition your school website in order to take advantage of the ease and more robust features of WebSchoolPro. Sign up for your new site. Create the pages that you need if they are not present on the new site, copy and paste the information from the old site to the new one.
We're happy to help with this as well for a small additional fee. Contact us at info@webschoolpro.com or call for details.

We have our own domain name, can we use it for our WebSchoolPro school site?

Absolutely, you can use your own domain name or register a new one at any time.

Can we pay WebSchoolPro to manage and update content on our school websites?

The answer is yes, of course...although no one ever does. In all honesty, you'll be updating your website 98% of the time and on those rare occasions you need something, we're here to help.

Of course. We offer both the advertising and a subscription based model. There is no difference between the sites, other than the presence of advertising on the free sites. Functionally, they are exactly the same.

Absolutley. The more years you purchase the more you save. Call for details.

Do you support email accounts for schools?
We do offer fee based email services on domains hosted with us. The cost is $49 per year for each 10 accounts. (min 10). We also frequently set schools up with Google mail. Google mail and Google apps are free to qualifying schools.

Do you offer WebSchoolPro outside of the U.S.?
Yes, of course. WebSchoolPro is available to any school, anywhere. Any school in the US, public, private, religious and charter can use our automated system to create their new website. Schools outside of the US can fill out a simple request form. WebSchoolPro is not language specific, so when we say any school, anywhere, anytime, we mean it! Once your request is approved (usually within 24 hours) you will receive an activation code and a link to get started.

What do you mean by "Virtual Classrooms" for every teacher?
Virtual Classrooms for every teacher simply means that teachers have not just a page, but their own section where they can add as many pages as they like. These pages can be used for anything really, homework, calendars, galleries, videos...below are some random links to teacher pages.
They can be simple and straight forward...

or they can be creative...

Once the site is set up and running, I will be transferring control to someone else at the school (since I'm just "helping out"). Is it easy to switch "owners" of the site?
It's very easy to create users, editors and site administrators, so you can set up new accounts and pass the torch at any time.

What is the "built in emergency alert system" and how does it work?
The emergency alert system is built into your school website. Visitors sign up, entering their name, email, and phone number, and select to be contacted by email or SMS (text message). When a message needs to go out, the administrator inputs the message into a single form on the web page and "sends". One message goes out instantly to any and all who have signed up.

We would like to sign up our school, but don't want to "commit" to anything yet, what is the best way to try WebSchoolPro?
The best thing to do is just sign up. There is no obligation, no risk, and it only takes a few minutes. Once you fill out the form you will receive a code and a link where you activate the school site. Once activated you can immediately begin working on the site, changing information, adding pages, etc. You are welcome to use your free site (and yes, you can point a unique domain at the free sites as well) for as long as you like, and you can upgrade to the ad free version at any time without losing any of your changes and modifications.
