Rio Vista High School is led by professional and resourceful staff dedicated to the education and safety of your children. Our Principal, Jim Lake, strives to achieve higher levels of academic excellence by building meaningful and effective relationships between students, teachers, staff and administrators.

James Lake, Principal Mr. Lake has been the principal at RVHS for the last year and a half. Prior to coming to the high school, Mr. Lake was the principal at Riverview Middle School. Mr. Lake has principaled several high schools and middle schools throughout his twenty year career as an administrator. He has a bachelor's degree in Art and Political Science from CSU Sacramento and received his Masters degree in Education from Stanislaus State. |

Amy Eggers, Vice Principal/Coordinator of Secondary Education Mrs. Eggers graduated from Rio Vista High School in 1995. She received her bachelor's degree in Social Work from CSU, Sacramento in 1999 and came back to teach special education at RVHS that year. She received her Masters degree in special education from Chapman University in 2005 and joined the RVHS administration team in 2008. |

Diane Applegate, Counselor Ms. Applegate has been the counselor at RVHS since 1994. She received her bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from U.C. Davis and her PPS credential and Masters degree in Counselor Education from CSU, Sacramento. Prior to coming to RVHS she was the counselor at Will C Wood in Vacaville. Her son, Cole is currently a junior at RVHS. |

But our staff can’t do it alone—and that’s where you come in. Parent and community involvement in our school is critical to the success of our students, and we’re always looking for new volunteers.
